BayTEC Alliance Operating Structure
The board of directors for the Alliance is made up of individuals who share a passion for significantly improving the economy and the quality of life in the Oroville Butte County region.
The board of directors provides overall guidance for the Alliance's strategic direction, tactical execution, decision-making and budgeting. The board ensures that a dialogue takes place among the Alliance membership to identify shared goals and to develop collaborative action strategies. In addition, the board monitors closely, the progress of plan execution to help ensure that goals and objectives of the Alliance are met. The officer positions of the Alliance have been filled by board members, and include a president, vice-president, secretary and chief financial officer who is designated the treasurer.
In addition, there are 4 board committees chaired by members from the board of directors.
- The Finance Committee The Finance Committee of the Alliance assists the Board of Directors in its oversight of the management of the organization’s assets, reviews and recommends approval of an annual operating budget, regularly reviews financial results, and ensures maintenance of an appropriate capital structure.
- The Marketing Committee The Marketing Committee of the BayTEC Alliance (Alliance) assists the Board of Directors in its oversight of the marketing related to the Alliance, reviews and recommends approval of all press releases, collateral, web site and other marketing/public relations activities developed internally or by outside vendors/consultants
- The Fundraising Committee Fundraising Committee will assist the Board of Directors in seeing that appropriate levels of funding are achieved to underwrite the normal and anticipated costs of the Alliance. This will be done by working closely with the Finance Committee’s budgets and assessments of revenues needed to support the business of the Alliance.
- The Membership Committee (to come) The board has also established task forces that will be chaired by a board member. The work of the task forces is focused on those areas critical for successfully achieving the goals of the BayTEC Initiative. Task forces will be formed to address areas such as Education and Training, Public Policy streamlining, Infrastructure, K-14 Education and Affordable Housing.
